I have lived here in Hedge End for over 50 years and attended Shamblehurst primary and then Wildern Secondary school. After this I went on to serve Hedge End as a Town and Borough Councillor and have a great record for serving the local area.
My main priority for Hedge End is to improve the local infrastructure and make lives easier for the residents. The lack of investment in infrastructure has caused huge amounts of traffic on our roads and our GP surgeries have been put in to special measures. My top priorities for Hedge End are outlined below:
l I will campaign for a sustainable parking solution for Berrywood school, we can’t keep having the road blocked up
every morning, it isn’t safe for the children or other road users.
l Our local GP surgery needs investment. It has recently been placed in special measure and you will all know how
difficult it is to make an appointment – this must change.
l A joined-up community policing strategy to ensure all reported crimes are investigated and PCSO patrols are more visible and effective to deter crime and make people feel safer.
l Better bicycle facilities at Hedge End train station, the level of thefts from the station are outrageous and there is nothing to investigate as there is no CCTV – it must be more secure.
