Joy is a wife, a mother and a grandmother. An allotment holder for over 30 years. In her lifetime she has seen the changes in Botley and doesn’t like the direction things are heading in.
Joy isn’t standing as a candidate because she wants another title to add to her collection, she is standing because she wants to help her community. The Botley community she so passionately cares about.
For too long she has been frustrated at the decisions made by the dominant Liberal Democrat Prescence and seeks to address that balance by standing for a position on the council. If she is, with your help, successful in May then her first port of call will be to talk to people about their priorities and make sure that she can help people. This is not about Joy; it is about Joy helping the people in her community.
Joy is a dedicated and strong woman; she is protective, and she cares deeply. Joy will help keep Botley safe. She is never too shy to stand up and defend what Botley people think about, care about and want and will go to the council meetings and do just that, for you.
Botley is her passion because this is where she lives and has lived for over 40 years, she believes that by supporting the people in her community she can help make Botley better. By supporting Joy, you too can help make Botley better.
