On Thursday, we will be attending the public meeting on the proposed closure of Winchester Hospital's A&E and consultant-led maternity services. Sam has already addressed NHS leaders directly, and called for the following:
- the retention of current services at Winchester Hospital (sign our petition on this issue here: https://www.samjoynson.uk/.../sam-campaigns-retain...)
- assurances that a clear plan would be put in place to mitigate the impact on Southampton Hospital's A&E waiting times in the event that Winchester's A&E is closed
- a promise that public transport would connect any new hospital at J7 of the M3 with Hampshire's residents (including us living in Eastleigh!)
